Posted Feb 24, 2017 Lt. Govs are one of the most under-valued advocacy tools. On a day that will be dedicated to governors (NGA starts today), take a look at Lt. Govs and what they do. Then figure out how to involved them in your advocacy strategy.

Posted Jun 20, 2016 My first thought when reading this article was, "I now know the back story behind all the EpiPen legislation I read on LegiNation, Inc.'s BillTrack50 software every week." However it is an important article for any startup or early growth company, especially one in a highly regulated field. There are three key take aways from this article - 1. In 1997, University of Iowa political scientists couldn't find a single lobbyist registered to do business in every state. By 2014, according to the Center for Public Integrity, at least NINE interest groups and companies had set up shop in every state capital: AARP, the American Heart Association, AstraZeneca, AT&T, Express Scripts, the National Federation of Independent Business, the National Rifle Association, Pfizer and PhRMA. 2. It's become easier to fight 50 different battles than to launch a single Washington campaign. 3. Uber outspends WellsFargo, Bank of America and Wal-Mart in California. Not only that - Uber also invested MILLIONS in a LOCAL GOV campaign in Austin, TX and LOST. Yes, it happens. Even in innovation and tech-friendly cities in a business-friendly states. Many companies, especially startups and early growth companies, lack the resources to set up shop in 50 states. And most can't afford to spend money like Uber anywhere. Let MOB Advocacy help you create that strategic national-presence to accomplish your legislative and regulatory goals.
